Toys R Us was trying to charge $9.99 CDN per figure... fucking losers... now wonder they are pretty much tits-up...

Well, the one I went to was a mad "grab fest," but in a very civil manner. They had pallettes of cases of figures out, and let us rip them all open (as well as some on the shelf).

Everyone was helping everyone out, but it was very packed and crazy at the same time. They had them all (the 3 3/4") marked for $5.29.

I met a lot of cool people too (along with the "live in my mom's basement, smelly fat weirdos). [img]wink.gif[/img]

It was a good time! And the bastards succeeded... I spent way more than I intended to. [img]redface.gif[/img]

Spore, I dont even wanna know Silver Snail's pricing, they're getting worse by the minute, Street Fighter s2 - $20 each

and they're starting to price certain figures higher, instead of set prices for lines, stuff liek that... [img]mad.gif[/img]

I was there last night to get some stuff.. I wasn't gonna drive 3 hours to a midnight madness thing at a Toys R Us.. This was the first and only Star Wars deal that I did that with.. And the only reason I stayed for it was they were already putting the stuff out and I saw the new Unleashed figures and decided I wanted one.. I had previously already purchased Aayla Secura Unleashed for my g/f, and Cowboy Spawn (Whom I can't smell after a day, so they musta fixed that) at Toys R Us, but I had to have Anakin.. So I waited, got Anakin and also got a Yoda, a Vader, and two movies (To Wong Fu, Thanks for everything, Julie Numar and Stephen King's Sleepwalkers)

There was a couple people there getting some figs, but they're plenty left..

The only things I'd like to have is the Target Exclusive Vader (Lava Vader or Chamber Vader, don't remember which) and the TRU Holographic Yoda.

Well To Wong Foo is one of my girlfriends favs, and Sleepwalkers is one of mine for some reason.. Possibly because it deals with an old Mytholigical Legend and Shapeshifters, And it's my favorite Stephen King novel so..

I don't really see the point of midnight madness type things. I never go to them, especially after working at Gamestop during the midnight release of Halo 2. The most disturbing moment of that night was when my co-worker held up a copy of the collector's edition so everyone outside could see it. It was only about 11:30, so the store was still closed to the public. One fat, hairy guy in the crowd yanked up his shirt, licked his finger, and started rubbing his nipple at the sight of the game.

sure, he did it was a joke (or so I hope), but damn. it was a wee bit icky.
